Guru spent much of his childhood in the eternally beautiful and sometimes challenging world of India’s Himalayan mountains. From an early age, Guru learned to embrace nature and adventure, enjoying activities and sports such as high-altitude trekking, climbing, and riding.

As the founder of Roaming Horizons, Guru has explored, traveled, and discovered most of India for himself. He allowed his insight to develop tours for adventure, culture, and history while riding on a motorcycle. Before moving to Australia, he and his family lived in Kenya for twelve years. In Australia, Guru rides a Honda Transalp 750 and R900GS.

The world of Adventure has always been in Catman's blood. Adventure riding is not only a passion; it has become a mission for Stephen to share his journey with as many riders and fellow ADV enthusiasts as possible. Stephen has been part of Roaming Horizons since its inception as its Senior Tour Host and Ride Leader.

Whether out on a Sunday or weekend blast through the outback, traversing the Great Dividing Range on his Honda CRF, or taking the twisties on his ZRX 1200R, Stephen has been riding motorcycles for 50 years and loves nothing more than being on two wheels. He spent his youth racing Enduro and has ridden everything KTM before settling on his trusty 300 Rally. Catman constantly searches for that perfect road, trail, or river crossing.

Kylie's love for motorcycles started when she was 15. Trail riding on local bush tracks led to racing Enduro and MX and the thrilling pursuit of Downhill mountain biking. She shares her passion with others through training, organizing events, and being a mentor and a support crew member for local and international competitors. Kylie recently attended the 2024 Motocross Des Nations and ISDE in Europe.

An Adventurer at heart, with over a hundred thousand kms on two wheels exploring Australia and the world, Kylie will work with Roaming Horizons to develop tours and support routes safe for women and couples who love to ride together.

Shane has always been a traveler and explorer. Combining his love for surfing and ADV, he cut his two-wheel teeth on early trial bikes and has been riding Adventure bikes since 2010. India has been a go-to destination since 2015, with Shane repeatedly returning to the Himalayas as a customer and now as a host for Roaming Horizons.

Recent rides have also seen Shane riding throughout Asia and Russia. Recently, he took a short ride of 6,000 km around Sumatra on a CB150X, living his dreams while he keeps on dreaming. He is a great guy to have on your ride and in your corner. Shane rides a Honda CRF 300 Rally at home and lives in QLD. He actively leads local rides, organizes Rallies, and participates in many events.

Jen Smith is the better half of Adventure Moto Australia, the iconic Aussie ADV motorcycle company that has been around since 2007. While running a successful business, helping raise a family of five young adults, and managing a staff of over twenty, Jen has still spent more time chasing sand and mountain trails in the past ten years than most women would see on two wheels in a lifetime.

Her recent adventures on two wheels include riding the South Island of NZ on a KTM 690, exploring the Flinders Ranges and Hattah Desert on her mighty WR250R, and touring with Roaming Horizons in Rajasthan, India.

Steve founded Adventure Moto Australia back in 2007 but has been rediscovering motorcycles, dual-sport, and ADV for over twenty years. He was an outdoor enthusiast for many years before getting back on two wheels. He has a history and background in mountaineering and winter sports and has been riding Adventure since before ADV was a noun or a verb.

From his early days riding a Honda XR75 over fifty years ago to riding the latest BMW R1300GS or Tenere 700, Steve Bhai feels at home on dirt and trails but still likes to ride the twisties as much as anyone, as long as he is moving forward. Over the past twenty years, Steve has ridden in many countries and extreme conditions, including most of the Australian Outback, the North and South Islands of NZ, much of the USA, and South America. His riding in India includes Rajasthan, Southern India, and the Himalayas.
