Manali – Sach Pass – Killar – Manali
Take a flight to Delhi, later a bus/ taxi to reach Manali on Day 1. Our team will assist you in checking in at the hotel as per the health safety guidelines. You may take the day wandering around the Himalayan town with all the zeal you got. We will expect you to be back for orientation in the evening. Take moments to say Namaste with fellow riders and the team on this adventurous journey. Learn about the route, riding etiquette, pitfalls, & the expected endless heavenly views with painful weather uncertainty, followed by a welcome dinner. Have a good night.
You all are on the adventure of life to the most dangerous road. Get geared up and be ready with the motorbike after breakfast. You will ride on the smooth highways along the Beas river leading us to serene mountains of Dharmshala. This first day of the ride is an exception in many ways. Smooth beginning leading to nowhere lands, narrow hanging paths and on rough roads. You may even go for paragliding en route if you had started early. You all shall be staying in a cozy hotel at Dharmashala which has the highest international cricket stadium. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
After a short, but eventful ride, we reach Mcleodganj or ‘Little Lhasa’ named after the Tibet refugees. Explore the market and collect memories to take back to your home. After this rejuvenating experience, you shall head to narrower roads with tougher challenges. With each passing kilometer, you shall be ascending to a higher altitude and greater magnificence. We will come across Jot Pass (7500 feet) before you get to Switzerland of India – Khajjiar. After you have arrived at the hotel, you are free to shop in the local market and buy the remaining essentials in this last big place. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
The roads to Bairagarh are very scenic around Chamera Reservior. Day 4 onwards, the roads are bound to get more adventurous; higher altitudes, mud, slush, water bodies and unaccounted surprises are key elements while riding towards the heart of Pangi valley. The human presence will diminish with each kilometer added to your odometer. You will still find the small food stops very pleasant with their warm hospitality. We shall be staying in a cozy hotel at Bairagarh. Now is the time to fuel up your vehicle. Dinner shall be served at the hotel.
You shall be leaving Chamba valley today. This day is dedicated to the highest altitude of the tour. After riding odd 30 kilometers on the not so easy road, you shall be at Sach pass top (14,500 ft). Take a peek of the journey so far from the top. The last glimpse of the Chamba valley is amazing to look into. Later you will continue to skillfully maneuver on extremely steep and serpentine roads. We cross over to the Chenab to venture into Killar Valley. Our stay today is in a hotel in a small village with basic amenities.
This adrenaline powered day will take you to the paramount of your courage and the edge of the mountain. the ‘World’s most dangerous road’. Today, you shall be riding on terrain with the most challenging conditions one could expect. Water crossing, mud, snow is just the beginning, riding under the waterfall is another level itself. After taking in the beauty of the valley of the three valleys and clicking sufficient pictures, we head back towards Killar. Dinner will be served at the night.
Today, you shall be riding beyond the epicenter of Pangi valley. As for the road condition, the ride to Udaipur shall be the same as last few days – rough and dusty roads, water crossings and scarce human prints. Riding on the Chenab valley edge road with gorges of hundreds of meters is sure to give goosebumps. It takes some nerve to handle riding the tricky tyre traction on this patch. Slowly, the greenery along with human presence will make its mark while closing to Keylong. After you reached, you may walk around the fruit and vegetable valley. You may go for some liquor shopping which was hard to find en route. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
After breakfast, assemble along with the bikes as we depart to explore the pile of corpses (That’s what Rohtang literally means). The twist and turns on the Rohtang Pass let you enjoy the last drag of the journey, different colors of beauty in Manali Highway. Finally, we reach Manali to leave our machines in peace, hand over the motorbike key and gears to the team. Feel free to go out to party in Old Manali or have with ride buddies at Hotel.
After breakfast, we meet again to say bid farewell to each other & cheers the moments of togetherness. Our team will bid adieu to you.Here onwards we leave for our lives and cities with lifetime memories and friends.
